L'Eclaireur - Paris

During the same visit to Paris I stumbled upon the most amazing concept store – L’Eclaireur, which was designed by Belgian artist Arne Quinze. The store is hidden at the end of a futuristic tunnel where corrugated cardboard, metal and wood panels painted in metallic silver line the walls. On entering customers are greeted with a huge domed structure that is made from entangled pieces of wood. The store is then divided into different areas with various passageways leading to different spaces. The same pieced metallic wall runs throughout the entire store and features 147 video screens embedded inside. The unusual aesthetic of the store made you feel like you were in another world completely – definitely not on a quaint side road in Paris’ Marais area!
